Winston (he/him) is the Energy & Industrial Systems Policy Manager, where he will work with researchers, labor and environmental justice allies to develop and implement justice-oriented visions around managed fossil fuel phase out, planning for green industrial systems, and democratic ownership and governance of energy systems. Before CCI, Winston was most recently an associate with the Rocky Mountain Institute’s Climate-Aligned Industries Program, where he worked on a Hydrogen Hub and the decarbonization of the chemical, refining and shipping industries through policy and environmental justice analysis, as well as stakeholder engagement. Winston also has an extensive understanding of industrial supply chains and decarbonization options through his work with over 15 startups and in investing across aviation decarbonization, climate R&D ecosystem mapping, battery recycling and zero-carbon cement. He was also an organizer with WePower, the Public Power campaign in DC and a DC DSA priority campaign. He lives in DC and got his BA in Public Policy and Physics from Duke university.
