Shannon Baker-Branstetter is the Senior Policy Director at the Climate and Community Institute. They lead the development and execution of CCI’s policy strategy to take on working people’s needs and the climate crisis at scale. Prior to joining CCI, Shannon led the climate and energy teams at the Center for American Progress. Shannon also led federal and state policy at Dream Corps Green For All, managed the cars and energy advocacy team at Consumer Reports, and worked for a plaintiff-side employment civil rights law firm and the U.S. Department of Labor. Shannon earned a J.D. from Georgetown, a Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and holds bar licenses in California and Washington, D.C.
