Myles Lennon

Myles is the Dean’s Assistant Professor of Environment & Society and Anthropology at Brown University. His research and teaching interests include: environmental anthropology; climate and environmental justice; Black ecologies; the anthropology of energy; multispecies ethnography; science and technology studies; infrastructure studies; affect theory; and the politics of climate knowledge. Hi forthcoming book, “Subjects of the Sun: Sensing Solar in the Shadows of Racial Capitalism,” looks at the materiality of solar infrastructure as it shapes political imaginaries across race and class lines in New York City. He also has eight years of professional experience in the non-profit sector conducting research, engaging in policy advocacy, and developing programs related to energy efficiency, climate adaptation, and sustainable urban planning in low- and moderate-income communities of color in New York City.
