Maya Meredith (she/her) is the Development Director at the Climate and Community Institute. In this role, she supports CCI’s growth strategies by mobilizing philanthropic resources, building effective infrastructure systems, and stewarding thoughtful change management. Prior to CCI, she served as Deputy Director of Philanthropic Operations and Grants Management at the Movement for Black Lives, and she has years of experience in fundraising for organizations that are building toward economic opportunity, wellbeing, and liberation for the multiracial working class. Based in Brooklyn, she also serves as secretary on the board of directors for the New York food justice organization Equity Advocates. Maya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Women’s and Gender Studies from Columbia University, with magna cum laude honors.
