Katie McChesney

Katie McChesney (she/her) is the Chief of Staff at the Climate & Community Institute (CCI). She works closely with the Executive Director to drive strategic organizational development, and supports cross-functional coordination and execution. Before joining CCI, Katie worked at the Centre for Climate Justice, frontloaded the Sunrise Movement, and was the North American Divestment Campaign Director at 350.org. With over 15 years of experience as a climate organizer and team builder, Katie is passionate about the intersection of people power and making an impact toward a just world. Katie lives in the Pacific Northwest and holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Public Administration and Environmental Science from Capital University.
